DNA grandparent testing helps determine whether one or both tested individuals are the biological grandparents of a child. Since all individuals inherit their DNA from their biological parents – and, in turn, from their grandparents – a grandparent DNA test compares the child’s genetic profile with that of the potential grandparent(s). This makes it possible to verify a biological relationship, especially in cases where the biological parents are unavailable or unwilling to participate. The process is simple, accurate, and completely confidential.

The result of the DNA test is either exclusion (the tested individuals are not biologically related) or confirmation (the tested individuals are the biological grandparents of the child). When both grandparents are tested, the result can be confirmed with an accuracy of at least 99.9% by our partner laboratory Asper Biotech AS. In cases where only one grandparent is tested, the results are still highly accurate, though slightly lower due to limited comparison data.

You can order the DNA grandparent test directly through our website. The test kit will be sent to your provided address either by regular mail or through a secure, confidential parcel terminal. We ensure full privacy in all cases. DNA samples must be collected from at least two participants: one grandparent and the child. When possible, it is recommended to include the sample of the second grandparent or the child’s biological parent to improve result accuracy. All DNA samples, along with a completed consent form, should be returned to the laboratory using the provided sampling envelope. Delivery of the kit and return shipping are free of charge.
